Twizzle Chairs
About the project
Twizzle re-imagines the form and function of public seating within our cities with an aim of counteracting the stressful and disconnected feelings which arise from living in a busy metropolis. Using accelerometer sensors these colourful swinging chairs offer a playful interaction to users by allowing them to abstractly translate their motion into a colourful, psychedelic visualisation. This interaction not only encourages people to sit down, relax and engage with the display, but also to interact with one another through a process of artistic creation and collaboration.

Studying Design Computing has taught me a wide variety of technical and user-centred design skills. This includes a proficient understanding of most of the Adobe suite, front end web development, interface prototyping tools, media production and more. The opportunity to design concepts centred around augmented reality, autonomous vehicles, smart cities and big data has opened my eyes as to what may lay ahead and how to best design for our burgeoning future. Looking forward, I am seeking a position in a dynamic team where I can implement a wide variety of design skills to attempt moonshot possibilities.
